Summer
I guess I'm not very good at this blog thing since I haven't written much. But anyway, summer's been good! Me and my family left for Florida on Labor Day. We were at Clermont visiting family for a few days...in which we went to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure, which was so FUN!!! Harry Potter wasn't open though...which was very upsetting, but I hope I'll get another chance to go next summer. After we visited family for those few short days we headed to DAYTONA BEACH!!! This was very close to the beach we went to last year which was Ormand Beach. We stayed at a place called The Seven Seas Resort. It was a lot smaller than our place last year, but it was still very nice and we had awesome beach access since we were on the 1st floor. The first day (not night) we were there my aunt, uncle, and cousins came to hang on the beach! It was an overcast day so me and my dad made the mistake of not putting on sunscreen. We thought we would be okay because we rarely burn and last year we didn't burn at all...well, last year we went in August vs. June....no tan to base off of. So we got burnt pretty bad. We were hurting for most of the trip after that. We got this Ice stuff from the store that helped with burns. And because of that we still wanted to be on the beach, but not in the sun because we were afraid our burns would get worse so we rented an umbrella. It was nice, but it would've been less expensive to buy one since we used it so many days. But I had a wonderful time there and can't wait to go back again although it's a loooong ways away. I also went to camp for church shortly after that, actually a day after we got back. That was fun and Lauren came with. I learned a lot and it definitely strengthened my relationship with Christ. Lauren stayed with us until June 30 and then she had to go...so sad. I had a great time with her though. Since then I've been pretty bored. I've had cheerleading periodically and tumbling at CIGA, which I've learned a LOT, and I've just sat at home. I'm mostly home alone because my parents work so it gets lonely. I'm not ready for school yet, but I don't think I would be soon. I love the social part of school, but not the waking up. I love sleeping in, although I've done pretty good this summer. I've been pretty consistent in waking up form 9:30-10:00 which I thought was pretty good compared to last years 11:00. But that's mainly how my summers been, and I can't wait to see you all at school!!

Graduation
On Tuesday, I graduated from 8th grade! I am now officially a freshman in high school! Although it doesn't really feel any different. The ceremony wasn't too long, thank goodness, and no one tripped or fell or anything so that was good. Molly Wilson won the Walking Worthy Award, and Mr. Bruer challenged us to not worry about what we do, but what we don't do. But I had a great time taking pictures and "mingling" with my friends! It was awesome! I'm really excited for the new experiences ahead of me...especially driving! A little nervous to though, obviously high school is going to be harder than middle school. But now I will enjoy the summer ahead of me by living "in the moment". (hahahaha) Anyway, here are some pictures from graduation night!

Six Flags
Our school takes their 8th grade class to 6 flags at the end of the year for a class trip. Yesterday me and my friends had so much fun riding the roller coasters and spinny things and all that good stuff. Even though it was a 3 hour bus ride (which we filled with doing each others hair...how girly) it was a GREAT day! Mr. Freeze ended up being my favorite ride, followed by Superman: Tower of Power. They were good. Unfortunately, we got lost...a lot. First we couldn't find this place called the Villain's Cafe to eat, then we couldn't find this ride or that ride and ended up walking around A LOT! But it was still REALLY fun to be able to spend the day with my friends. Plus you could share food instead of each having to buy your own which saved a lot of money. So I was really tired when I got home, but it was worth it. Although, the rides were definitely not as good as the ones in Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure and Bush Gardens, Which reminded me of how privileged I am for having an Aunt who gets free tickets. Also my hair was up in this really tight messy bun thing and when I took it down when I got home, my hair was a HUGE mess! It was SUPER poofy...which I have a picture to prove. Although I must say, the picture doesn't do it justice. But at 6 Flags it was a GORGEOUS day, not too hot not too cold, and we had a wonderful time to end the 8th grade year!

God is AMAZING!
As most of you know, I was challenged at summer camp to witness to my cousin Lauren. When we were asked to think of someone to minister to she immediately came to my mind. Things weren't good at first. We had long conversations over IM and email. She believed in evolution, but didn't completely shoot down Christianity. She just didn't understand how the things in the Bible and God's creation could work. We sent emails back and forth periodically. And things weren't looking so hot until she told me she had started going to youth group on Wednesday nights. I was ecstatic! She wasn't completely convinced, but things were starting to look up. Later she told me that she was reading her Bible everyday and discovering more and more about our faith. She would occasionally ask me questions about certain things in the Bible, etc. Just recently I got and email from her saying that things were going pretty good in her life (much better than before, when I first talked to her her life wasn't the best.) and she was trying to switch at a place she volunteers at for a different time so she could go to church on Sundays. The other day I asked her if she was officially a Christian meaning she had asked Jesus into her heart and believe in everything. She said she would like to say she was, but wanted to know more about it and get baptised before she officially made that claim!!! What and awesome God we have!! I was soo..excited, and can't wait to hear more. I'll keep you posted!!

Saturdays
This is my first attempt at a blog, so bear with me. It's Saturday, and once again I am bored!!! No one is home except me and my dad, and he's sleeping. I got hungry this morning and decided I was going to try and make an omelet. It turned out okay, but it was kinda burnt.....whoops!! I also read a little. I've been reading this book called "Pure" by Terra Elan McVoy. It's about a group of friends who have all pledged their purity until marriage. It's really good, and makes me think about making the pledge myself. But now, after only being awake for 2 hours, I am bored again. Tonight I'm going to the PCS auction. They want all the 8th grade cheerleaders to help out. I have to be there for 3 hours!! But at least it'll be something to do. I thought I'd check this new blog thing out since I'm so bored, but really what are you supposed to do on a Saturday?!?! I'm waiting for my dad to get up so I can shower and get ready for the day, but it still hasn't happened. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens!
